Mellish RFC was formed in 1931, in memorial to the Mellish Grammar School old boys who died in the 1st World War. The ground was first sited at Podder Lane on Plains Road, Mapperley Nottingham. We moved to our present purpose built ground in 1984, where we have a large clubhouse with excellent facilities. Two of our four pitches are floodlit, as is an additional Mini pitch/training area.

Our venue is great for weddings, anniversaries & birthday parties as well as children's events. Mellish is the premier function venue locally. We are located near Arnold & Mapperley in Nottingham. Every year we have thousands of satisfied clients and customers who keep coming back year after year.

As well as you providing your own catering. We can now offer a range of excellent buffet menus provided by our catering partner.

We are within easy access of Nottingham and the rest of the Midlands area. The club provides conference facilities within both our main room and lounge whilst offering all of the technical facilities required for the modern day business.

Your delegates can work efficiently to task, yet still enjoy the idyllic, peaceful surroundings and its large grounds situated in the tranquility of the picturesque Nottinghamshire countryside. You are welcome to provide your own catering at Mellish RFC and there is no penalty in increase cost of room hire. But we also offer a full buffet service from our catering partner "The Flying Deli".

All their catering is prepared in their central production kitchen and transported in chilled vehicles to arrive fresh and on time for your event.

The menu offered is in two sections:

• Pick and mix - A selection of delicious flats of food so you will receive exactly what you want.
• A choice of three buffet menus - Guaranteed to suit your pocket.

Disco Hire Costs:

Our resident DJ John is highly recommended and is very popular, so if you want him at your function book him early! You can contact John on 07941 154 329 or email jlwheldon@hotmail.com for further enquiries.

John is a long standing member of Mellish RFC and is passionate about music; John takes great delight playing music at your event. John is a DJ that wants you to enjoy the music selection so let him know what you want and you will not be disappointed as he has over 30,000 songs available.
